Your privacy choices

Everything here takes effect the moment you save it, on this browser, without an account and without contacting anyone. Turning something off is one interaction, exactly like turning it on.

Choose what loads

Each category lists the technologies it controls. Nothing in an optional category is present in the page until you turn it on, and switching one off reloads the page without it and deletes the cookies it set.

  • Strictly necessary

Delivers the pages you request, remembers your privacy choice, and protects our forms from spam. No third party receives your browsing history through these, and they are never used to profile you. They cannot be switched off, because the site cannot be served without them.

  • MeasurementThird parties receive data

Lets us count visits and see which articles are read, using Google Analytics. This sends your IP address, the page you are on and your interactions to Google, who processes it on our behalf. Nothing loads and nothing is transmitted until you turn this on.

    Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js)

  • AdvertisingThird parties receive data

Allows advertising partners to measure the ads shown on this site and, where you permit it, to personalise them using your activity across other sites. This is a "sale" and a "share" of personal information under California law. It is off unless you turn it on, and declining it does not reduce your access to anything on the site — you will simply see untargeted ads.

Do not sell or share my personal information

We do not sell personal information for money and never have. California also treats letting an advertising partner use your activity to target ads elsewhere as “sharing”, so this button switches that category off and keeps it off for this browser. It takes one click, needs no account, and asks you for nothing.

Sending a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser does the same thing automatically, on every site that honours it.

The record of your choices

We keep a log of each decision so that consent is something we can evidence rather than just assert. It holds a random reference, the choice, the policy version and the timestamp — no IP address, no device fingerprint, nothing that identifies you. You can read your own entries here.

Once you have made a choice on this browser, your reference appears here.

Submit a privacy request

For anything the toggles above cannot do on their own — access, deletion, correction, or a complaint. An authorised agent may submit on your behalf with your signed permission.

We use what you enter here only to answer this request, and keep the record of it as long as the law requires us to show we honoured it. See the privacy policy.
