About Luxury Hôm

The luxury home, reported by the people who build it.

The luxury home authority — editorial, design intelligence and rare properties for people who take the home seriously.

Why we exist

A luxury home is a series of decisions.

Most coverage of high-end homes stops at the photograph. Ours starts there and keeps going — into what the stone cost, which studio specified it, how long the lead time ran, and what the house is worth in the market it sits in.

Luxury Hôm was built for the reader in research mode: the owner planning a seven-figure renovation, the buyer comparing ski markets, the designer sourcing a maison they have not worked with before. Five desks cover that ground, and every page is written to be useful on the day you are actually deciding.

We are independent. No brand, developer or brokerage has editorial input, and nothing in our directories or listings is for sale.

How we report

Editorial standards

Practitioners, not aggregators

Every editor on the masthead has billed for the work they write about — designing kitchens, brokering prime homes, integrating cellar and cinema systems. Bylines carry credentials and link to a full profile.

Costs are pressure-tested

Renovation and cost figures come from real quotes and completed projects, stated with the year and the market they apply to. When a number is a range, we say what moves it to each end.

Listings and directories are curated

Properties, brands and designers are included because they clear an editorial bar. Inclusion is never sold, and lead-gen enquiries go to the listing agent or studio, not to the highest bidder.

Corrections are published, not quietly patched

If we get a figure or an attribution wrong, the page carries a note saying what changed and when. Sponsored or affiliate relationships are labelled in place, on the page where they appear.

Advertising & affiliate disclosure

How this site is paid for.

Luxury Hôm is supported by display advertising, lead-gen enquiries sent to real-estate agents and design studios, and affiliate commission on some furniture and fittings we link to. Commercial placements are labelled where they sit. None of them buy coverage, a directory entry or a position in a guide — the editorial and commercial sides do not trade.

Frequently asked

How does Luxury Hôm make money?
Three ways, all disclosed: display advertising, lead-gen for real-estate listings and designers, and affiliate links on furniture and fittings. Advertising never buys editorial coverage, a listing slot or a directory entry.
Do brands pay to appear in the brand directory?
No. The brand directory and designer directory are editor-selected. Brands cannot buy a profile, and paying advertisers get no ranking advantage in any listing, guide or directory.
Where do your renovation cost figures come from?
From quotes and completed project accounting supplied by our renovation desk and the designers in our directory, normalised to the year and city stated on the page. We re-baseline the cost guides annually.
How can I pitch a home, a product or a story?
Use the enquiry form on any listing or designer page, or subscribe to the dossier and reply to it. We read every pitch; we cover a small fraction of them.
